Race Day 2025

Last Thursday, 13 November, we hosted one of our favourite events of the year — the Flower Hotels Race Day at the Port Macquarie Race Club. This day is all about saying thank you to the people who help keep our venues running smoothly year-round. From our food and beverage partners to our builders, trades, uniform suppliers and everyone in between, it was fantastic to bring the whole extended Flower Hotels family together for a fun afternoon.

Race Day has become the unofficial kickoff to the silly season and this year did not disappoint. We were spoilt with catering by Char Bar, who delivered an exceptional spread that kept everyone fuelled throughout the afternoon. Max Marvell provided the soundtrack, bringing just the right energy to the day. And of course, the Pose It Photo Booth was a hit, the photos only got funnier as the afternoon rolled on!

There were seven races across the day, with plenty of friendly rivalry between venues. The highlight was the Flower Hotels race, where guests got in on the action with sweeps and plenty of cheering from the grandstand.

Judging by the smiles (and a few slow-moving people the next morning…), we’d say it was another successful race day. Events like this remind us how lucky we are to work with such a dedicated, skilled and fun-loving group of partners.
