AHA National Awards 2025

The AHA National Awards for Excellence took place yesterday at Royal Pines on the Gold Coast, and what a huge day it was for pubs and hotels from right around the country. With every state and territory represented, the stakes couldn’t be higher — Australia’s best venues, accommodation hotels and standout employees all going head-to-head for national glory.

We were incredibly proud to have Flower Hotels on the national stage this year. After big wins at the NSW state awards, two of our own were invited to compete against the best of the best from across Australia.

Zoe Archer Represents Settlers Inn

Settlers Inn’s Venue Manager, Zoe Archer, was in the running for the Industry Rising Star Award, a category that shines a light on the brightest young talents in hospitality. Zoe didn’t take home the trophy this time, but her nomination alone speaks volumes.

She has been with Setts for almost a decade and her dedication, growth, and leadership continue to inspire our team and community. Seeing her name up in lights on the national stage was a proud moment for everyone back home.

Zoe, we’re cheering for you — always.

Long Flat Pub Takes Its Place on the National Stage

We were also thrilled to see Long Flat Pub recognised as a finalist for Best Marketing Activity. Representing the venue at the awards were Renee and Alistair Flower, who were rightfully proud to see our little pub competing alongside some of the biggest names in the country.

For a tiny regional pub to reach the national finals is a massive achievement. Our campaign for Long Flat was intentionally simple, playful and true to the community — and making it all the way to the national level is a huge credit to the team who brought it to life.

No trophy this time, but a moment worth celebrating.

A Huge Congratulations to the Winners

The caliber of finalists was incredible, and we applaud all the national winners who took home awards. It’s an honour just to be in the room with such talent and innovation across the industry.

We’re Already Looking Ahead…

While we may not have nabbed a national title this year, we walked away proud, inspired and ready for another big year across the Flower Hotels group. We’ll be back — and we’re aiming high.
