Flower Hotels Proud to Support Stars of the Hastings 2025
Stars of the Hastings – Dance for Cancer 2025
Last weekend, the curtain closed on the Stars of the Hastings – Dance for Cancer 2025 season, and what a show it was. From the glitter-filled launch party to the spectacular main gala, this year’s “Class of 2025” lit up the stage with courage, heart, and an unstoppable sense of purpose.
Together, our local “Stars” and their dance partners didn’t just perform – they campaigned, fundraised, and inspired, raising over $260,000 for Cancer Council NSW. Every step, spin, and shimmy helped fund vital cancer research, prevention programs, and support services for people in our community affected by cancer.

Alistair Flower returned to the stage as a judge after previously competing, and in 2024
The team at Flower Hotels feel incredibly lucky to have been involved again this year. Our very own Jimmy Laing took on the challenge as a contestant and Alistair Flower returned to the stage as a judge after previously competing. Flower Hotels has long supported the event across it’s various venues, Zoe Archer, venue manager at Settlers Inn proudly dancing as one of the Stars, in 2024. The Mercure was also honoured to be an event sponsor this year, showcasing our shared commitment to supporting the community that supports us.

Seeing so many people come together – whether dancing, volunteering, sponsoring, buying tickets, bidding in auctions, or simply cheering from the crowd – is a humble reminder of what can happen when we all unite for a cause bigger than ourselves.
To the organisers, the Stars, the dancers, the volunteers, and everyone who contributed in any way – thank you. We’re proud to stand alongside you.
