Beechwood Takes the Win!

The Beechwood Shamrocks have claimed the 2026 Hastings League premiership, defeating the Lake Cathie Raiders 16–6 at Beechwood Footy Fields on Saturday 26 September.

Hastings Hotel is the proud sponsor of the Hastings League, championing local footy across the region and it was a special grand final for Flower Hotels, with both competing clubs sponsored by our venues. Beechwood Hotel supports the Shamrocks, while Lake Cathie Tavern supports the Raiders.

The lead-up brought plenty of colour to both communities. Beechwood rallied to paint the town green, while Lake Cathie supporters made posters to show their Raiders colours. By grand final day, there was plenty of pride on both sides as the teams took to the field.

The Shammies came away with the win and the premiership trophy, earning bragging rights over their Flower Hotels rivals. For the Raiders, reaching the grand final capped an incredible season and gave their supporters plenty to celebrate. Thank you to the players, volunteers, families and supporters who get behind local footy throughout the year!
