Pour and Explore Rolls Into Town
Get Thirsty for Local Good Times
This June, the Hastings region isn’t just pouring drinks — it’s pouring heart, soul, and a little mischief into every glass. Pour and Explore is flipping the script on what a “festival” can be. No rigid tickets. No fenced-off fields. Just a whole month of good times, cold drinks, and events that feel more local legend than festival hype.
We’re talking cheeky cocktails, bold beers, dog parades (yep, that’s a thing), and everything in between — hosted by the best venues across Wauchope, Port Macquarie, and Laurieton. This isn’t just about drinks. It’s about the vibe.

Born in the Bar, Raised by Locals
This whole brilliant idea came from Lachie, venue boss at Finnians Tavern and a local legend who knows the industry like the back of a beer tap. He’s all about celebrating the venues and people that make this region tick — the chefs, musos, brewers, bartenders, and regulars who make “just one drink” turn into four rounds and a karaoke mic.
POUR AND EXPLORE
Celebrating the venues and people that make this region tick
What’s On Tap?
Here’s what’s bubbling up across the region:
🍷 Wine and dine events with perfect pairings
🍔 Themed dinners and tasting menus
🎤 Live gigs, DJs, and even a dash of comedy
🐾 Dachshund meetups (tiny legs, big energy)
Each venue is putting their spin on the party. It’s creative. It’s unpredictable. It’s so local you can probably walk there.
Choose Your Own Adventure
No need to lock in a full itinerary — this festival plays by your rules. Build your own “drink trail” using the events calendar at pourandexplore.au. Go all-in with a pub crawl marathon or slow-sip your way through June with a date night every week. There’s something happening almost every night — just pick your vibe.
Big Names, Big Nights
At Finnians Tavern, the carpark's turning into a concert zone with huge live sets from Ball Park Music and Thelma Plum. Expect beers, beats, and one of the best nights out this side of winter. It’s just one example of how venues are making Pour and Explore feel less like a festival, more like a movement.
It’s a Local Love Story
Pour and Explore isn’t about flashing lights or wristbands — it’s about community. About turning your favourite venue into a stage, a tasting room, or just a place to catch up and toast to the good stuff. As Lachie puts it, “Great hospitality is personal. It’s local. And above all, it’s about creating moments.”
